Course Update 2017
NEW in 2017 BoardMatch Leaders is now a ONE DAY in-person course with supplementary e -learning resources.
The training session will orient learners to key roles, responsibilities and best practices in governance so that you will:
- Know what to expect when you join a board – including when you attend your first board meeting
- Become an effective board member and participate in asking questions and making collective decisions
- Understand the Governance as Leadership framework – i.e. fiduciary, strategic and generative modes of governance
Small Group Exercises
Ruth R. Armstrong, MBA founded VISION Management Services in 1986. A dynamic presenter and facilitator, she has provided leadership development and consultation to more than 350 public, private and non-profit organizations in Canada and the United States. Ruth taught nonprofit governance and accountability for 25 years at York University’s Schulich School of Business, MBA Program. She is a recognized expert in the areas of Governance and Strategic Planning. She also specializes in Organizational Change and Leadership Development.
